Relicuf LS Junior Cough Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Levosalbutamol Sulphate, Ambroxol Hydrochloride and Guaiphensin, which is used to treat Mucus-producing coughs.   • Relicuf LS Junior is indicated for the management of productive cough with mucus in children (1–12 years of age) associated with conditions like bronchospasm, bronchitis, bronchial asthma, tenacious or thickened mucus, wheezing, and chest congestion.

  • Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent that promotes mucus clearance by decreasing its viscosity and increasing its volume. It facilitates expectancy and eases productive coughing. Guaiphenesin is an expectorant that works by reducing the viscosity of lung secretions and aiding in spitting out the mucous. Levosalbutamol is a beta-agonist that activates certain receptors called beta-2 adrenergic receptors in the lungs, which facilitates smooth muscle relaxation, makes airways open for easy breathing, and also acts as an anti-inflammatory agent.   • Relicuf LS Junior should be used with caution in children with any underlying condition such as liver impairment, kidney failure, high blood pressure, heart disease, uncontrolled juvenile diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism (increased secretion of thyroid hormones), seizures, or fits.

  • It may or may not cause nausea or vomiting in some children. Ask the child to drink lots of fluids, such as water or fruit juices, so that the child is sufficiently hydrated. Do not administer any medicine to manage the condition. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.

  • If you have missed a dose by chance, try to give Relicuf LS Junior as soon as possible when you notice. However, if the time for the next dose is closer, skip the dosage and do not try to give the double dosage.

  • Do not administer Relicuf LS Junior if the child is allergic to ambroxol, levosalbutamol, guaifenesin, or any other ingredients of this medicine.

  • Before giving Relicuf LS Junior to your child, inform your doctor if your child is taking, has taken, or might take any other medicine, including prescription, non-prescription, or any herbal medicine, to avoid cases of interaction and serious side effects.

  • Relicuf LS Junior may or may not produce side effects such as increased heart rate, palpitations (sensation of a fluttering heartbeat), indigestion, headache, vomiting, nausea, sweating, muscle cramps, diarrhea, heartburn, bloating, abdominal pain, dry mouth or dry throat, and tremor.

  • Relicuf LS Junior is not recommended for use by pregnant women unless absolutely necessary. Relicuf LS Junior is intended for use only by children (1–12 years old). Consult your doctor before taking it.
