Relicuf SFcontains Ambroxol, Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, Phenylephrine, and Chlorpheniramine Maleate. Ambroxol works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe and nose. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide blocks the transmission of nerve signals from the cough center in the brain to the muscles that produce cough. Thus, decreasing the need to cough. Phenylephrine works by contracting and narrowing the blood vessels. Thereby, providing relief from congestion and decreasing mucus production. Chlorpheniramine Maleate blocks the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions.

Relicuf SF may or may not cause drowsiness as a common side effect. Try to rest and relax. Get enough sleep. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you feel drowsy. Avoid alcohol consumption, as it can aggravate drowsiness. Contact your doctor if your drowsiness worsens.
